That’s not something you usually see on a mainstream flagship. Cooling fans are typically reserved for dedicated gaming phones, and iQOO seems quite intentional about leaning into that territory with the Ultra model.

Pre-Orders Reveal a More Aggressive Design Direction

The pre-order poster gives us a clearer look at the iQOO 15 Ultra’s design. The phone uses a circular camera module, with a ring-like pattern around the lenses that gives it a more technical, performance-focused appearance.

You can also spot small orange accents on the body, adding a slightly sporty touch that fits with iQOO’s gaming positioning. Overall, the design doesn’t aim to be subtle or minimal. It’s clearly meant to look different from regular flagships.

One of the most noticeable elements is the active cooling fan, which sits near the lower part of the phone and is visibly integrated into the design. iQOO isn’t hiding it. The company is also said to be offering a dedicated fan protection plan, with coverage reported to last up to five years, suggesting the cooling system is meant for long-term use.

On the display front, the iQOO 15 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.85-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 2K resolution. Reports suggest the panel could be sourced from Samsung and support a 165Hz refresh rate.

Performance-wise, the iQOO 15 Ultra is tipped to run on Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the same processor used in the standard iQOO 15.

Cooling Fan and Triggers

The biggest talking point remains the cooling system. The iQOO 15 Ultra will use a built-in fan as part of an upgraded heat dissipation setup, designed to keep temperatures under control during long gaming sessions.
