iQOO 15 with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC Launching on October 20: Check Expected Specifications and Pricing

iQOO has announced the launch date for its next flagship smartphone in China. The iQOO 15 will debut as the first smartphone from the brand to use the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

The iQOO 15 launch date in Shenzhen, China is set for October 20 at 07:00 pm local time. Following the launch, the iQOO 15 will go on sale in China on the same day. The iQOO 15 is also set to launch in India some time in December 2025 or January 2026. We expect the iQOO 15 price in India to start from under Rs 60,000. To recall, the iQOO 13 was priced at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs 47,200) in China and Rs 54,999 in India at the time of its launch.

Apart from the incorporation of the new Snapdragon chip, iQOO also confirmed that its upcoming flagship would feature a dedicated Q3 chip to achieve 144fps gameplay in 2K resolution. It will also support real-time ray tracing.

It will run on Android 16-based OriginOS 6 right out of the box. It houses a robust battery capacity of 7000mAh supporting both wired fast charging at speeds up to100W as well as wireless charging options.

The handset is set to feature a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, using Samsung's M14 luminescent material. The display promises high-quality visuals with Dolby Vision support and an instantaneous touch sampling rate of 3200Hz. The phone is expected to have a waterproof body and include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for added security.

According to Digital Chat Station, a well-known leaker, the iQOO 15 will boast an impressive camera setup. It will include a 50MP main camera from the IMX9 series, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP IMX8 series periscope telephoto camera capable of up to 100x zoom. The iQOO smartphone is designed with symmetrical dual speakers for balanced sound output and includes an X-axis motor.
