iQOO 15R Camera Specifications and Features Confirmed Ahead of Launch in India on February 24
The iQOO 15R is making its debut in India towards the end of this month. Following its launch, iQOO has already teased several specifications of its first Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 smartphone to grace India.
Moreover, the iQOO 15R is expected to be a rebranded version of the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which was unveiled in China last month. However, new information has emerged, confirming that the iQOO 15R will have a different camera setup compared to the Z11 Tubo.

iQOO 15R Cameras
The brand recently confirmed that the iQOO 15R would use a 50MP Sony LYT 700V primary sensor with OIS. To recall, the iQOO Z11 Turbo features a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.56 with OIS and CIPA 4.5 professional-grade image stabilization.
It is worth noting that the iQOO 15R will feature the same 8MP ultrawide camera and 32MP selfie camera as the Z11 Turbo. Additionally, the iQOO 15R's main camera will also be able to record 4K video at 60fps. Other areas of focus on the camera system will include the NICE Camera Alogrithm, Super Night Mode, and Portrait mode.
iQOO 15R Specifications (Expected)
The iQOO 15R is tipped to feature a 6.59-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, aimed at smooth scrolling and gaming, while an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor is expected to handle biometric security instead of a side-mounted or rear-mounted scanner.
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor on the iQOO 15R is likely paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, which should deliver fast app loading and reliable multitasking, although exact RAM and storage combinations will only be confirmed at the launch.
The iQOO 15R is said to run Android 16 with the custom OriginOS 6 interface, and the company is promising four years of Android OS updates alongside six years of regular security patches, which should appeal to users who keep devices for longer cycles.

Powering the package, the iQOO 15R is rumoured to feature a 7,600mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging support, suggesting short top-up times, while still offering all-day endurance for heavy tasks like gaming, social media, and navigation.
The iQOO 15R is expected to feature a USB 2.0 Type-C port, which could limit wired data transfer speeds compared to USB 3. It is likely to launch in black and silver colour options, with a metal frame and glass panels on both sides. The phone is tipped to weigh around 202 grams, in line with other large-screen Android flagships.
iQOO 15R India Launch
The iQOO 15R launch date in India is set for February 24 at 12 pm (IST). Following its launch, the iQOO 15R will go on sale in India through Amazon.
According to recent reports, the iQOO 15R price in India will start from under Rs 45,000, putting it in the same league as the OnePlus 15R. It could debut as India's most affordable Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 smartphone.
