iQOO Neo 8 series launch date set for May 23: MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus, Design confirmed

The iQOO Neo 8 series has got an official launch date in China. The iQOO Neo 8 series launch will take place on May 23. The brand also confirmed the launch of the iQOO Neo 8 series, marking the first time a 'Pro' model is added to the iQOO Neo series.

The brand also teased the debut of the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset on the iQOO Neo 8 Pro. The official teaser also confirms that the iQOO Neo 8 Pro's Dimensity 9200+ SoC will be paired with the custom Vivo V1+ imaging chip.

iQOO Neo 8 Design

Vivo also revealed the back panel of the iQOO Neo 8 Pro, which is displayed in a red shade and appears to use a soft leather material. The phone also has a black camera island which blends into the design of the back panel.

The iQOO 8 Pro also features a triple-camera setup on the back, while the image also points to OIS support. As of now, there is no mention of camera specifications, although we can see the words "High Resolution" engraved in the camera island.

The dedicated page confirms the iQOO Neo 8 Pro launch date in China as May 23 at 07:00 pm local time. The page also reveals that the iQOO Neo 8 Pro will come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

iQOO Neo 8 Pro Specifications (Expected)

Tipster Yogesh Brar recently revealed details about the iQOO Neo 8 Pro specs. According to Brar, the iQOO Neo 8 Pro's MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus SoC will be paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The phone will run Android 13 with the Origin OS skin on top.

The handset will sport a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with presumably a 120Hz refresh rate. For optics, the phone is expected to get a 50 MP triple-camera setup with OIS (confirmed) support and a 16 MP selfie camera up front. Lastly, the iOQO Neo 8 Pro will packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support.
