iQOO Z7i Launched: Check Specs And Price Of First Android Smartphone With Dimensity 6020 SoC

iQOO has officially a new Android smartphone under the iQOO Z7 series. The iQOO Z7i is an aggressively priced Android phone with a new MediaTek Dimensity chipset.

iQOO has been teasing the smartphones which would be a part of the Z7 series. These smartphones will launch in select markets outside China, including India. The iQOO Z7 series includes the iQOO Z7, the iQOO Z7x, and the iQOO Z7i.

iQOO Z7i Is World's First Android Smartphone With Dimensity 6020 Chipset

The iQOO Z7i has a 6.51-inch HD+ IPS LCD display. The display has a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a refresh rate of 60Hz, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and DC Dimming. The screen has a waterdrop notch to house a 5MP camera.

The iQOO Z7i is the world's first smartphone to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset. The 7nm octa-core chipset has two ARM Cortex-A76 performance cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six ARM Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocked at 2.0GHz. The 5G-enabled chipset packs a Mali G57-MC2 GPU.

The Dimensity 6020 SoC inside the iQOO Z7i is paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Buyers can choose 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM. As the smartphone packs a MediaTek SoC, buyers can get virtual RAM of up to 8GB. All three variants of the iQOO Z7i have 128GB of internal storage. There's a dedicated microSD card slot for expanding onboard memory.

The iQOO Z7i features a dual camera setup on the back, comprising a 13MP primary camera, which is accompanied by a 2MP macro sensor. There's a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies, video calls, and face unlock.

iQOO has embedded a 5000mAh battery inside the iQOO Z7i, which supports 15W wired fast charging. Notable connectivity features include dual SIM, 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

iQOO Z7i Price, Launch, Availability

iQOO has launched the iQOO Z7i smartphone in China. The smartphone is available in Moon Shadow and Ice Lake Blue color options.

The base variant of the iQOO Z7i with 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage retails for 899 Yuan (approx. ₹10,700). The variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage has been priced at 1,099 Yuan (approx. ₹13,000). The top-end variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage costs 1,199 Yuan (approx. ₹14,300).

iQOO has confirmed the first sale of the iQOO Z7i smartphone will take place on March 20, 2023. However, Vivo's sub-brand hasn't confirmed the international launch of the series.
