Is HTC planning to launch two new phones? After HTC 11 Plus, U11 Life details appears online

HTC has been teasing us about its upcoming smartphone for quite some time now. The company has also already sent out press invites for the launch event that will be happening on November 2 in Taipei. However, HTC has not mentioned which smartphone it is launching.

As far as the speculations go it is quite certain that HTC will unveil at least one U-branded premium smartphone on November 2. We are assuming the company will launch HTC U11 Plus on that day.

Why do we say that? It's because we have already seen several rumors and leaks on the internet about the smartphone and further the HTC model was also spotted on the GFXBench website earlier. The benchmark listing showed that the smartphone will feature a 6-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, Adreno 540 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of onboard storage. In addition, the listing revealed that the handset will come with a 12MP main camera and an 8MP front-facing one, and the latest version of Android - 8.0 Oreo.

While HTC U11 Plus has been the topic of discussion, now new reports suggest that HTC is actually working on two U-branded smartphones. So apart from U11 Plus, HTC is allegedly working on another variant called U11 Life as well. Reports further suggest that this will be a purported Android One smartphone with mid-range specifications. This is an interesting development and it certainly has piqued our attention.

Some reports have also mentioned that HTC U11 Life is just a renamed version of HTC Ocean Life. Well, we are hoping to hear details about the new phone or phones in the coming days and everything will be clear most likely.

That being said, as for HTC U11 Life, this smartphone is expected to come with a 5.2-inch display, a Snapdragon 630 SoC, and 16-megapixel camera sensors on front and back. The HTC U11 Life is also expected to come in two variants, with one carrying 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage, while the other variant housing a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. HTC U11 Life is said to be a cheaper version of HTC's flagship.
