Is This the Most Expensive Honor Phone Ever? Honor Unveils Magic6 RSR & Magic6 Ultimate

Honor recently made waves in China with its unveiling of two high-end smartphones in collaboration with Porsche Design. The highlight was the Porsche Design Magic6 RSR, Honor's latest addition boasting cutting-edge specs and design. This launch also introduced the Magic6 Ultimate, sharing the luxury branding but featuring a distinct back panel design.

The Porsche Design Magic6 RSR Steals the Show

The Magic6 RSR and Ultimate models come equipped with the advanced H9800 camera sensor, maintaining a 50MP resolution but offering an impressive 15EV dynamic range for enhanced photo quality. Honor has also fine-tuned the autofocus system in the Magic6 RSR for quicker and more precise focusing.

A standout feature of the Porsche Design Honor Magic6 RSR is its dual-layer OLED Tandem Display. Honor claims this innovation can increase the screen's lifespan by up to 600% and reduce brightness degradation to less than 1% after three years. The Magic6 RSR is available in Frozen Berry and Agate Grey, colors that pay homage to Porsche's iconic vehicles. The phone also features JuRhino Glass for added durability.

Magic6 Ultimate: Premium Performance at a (Slightly) Tamer Price Point

While the Magic6 Ultimate mirrors the RSR's specifications, it differs in its retail packaging and back panel design. The Magic6 RSR leads Honor's offerings with 24 GB RAM and 1 TB storage, priced at CNY9,999 (around $1,400), marking it as Honor's most expensive smartphone to date. It is set to go on sale outside China in Q2.

The Magic6 Ultimate offers a slightly more accessible price point, with the 16/512 GB variant costing CNY6,999 ($970) and the 16 GB/1 TB model at CNY7,699 (about $1,100). Both come in Black and Purple colors.

Additionally, Honor introduced the MagicBook Pro 16 laptop to the Chinese market. This device, powered by the Core Ultra 7 155H and Nvidia 4060 GPU, is confirmed for a global release in Q2.
