Jio Bharat feature phone launched in India with 4G connectivity for just Rs 999

India's leading telco Reliance Jio recently announced a new feature phone with internet access. The Jio Bharat feature phone aims to bring internet connectivity to India's existing 250 million feature phone users.

Jio's latest affordable phone delivers internet-enabled services on a feature phone under Rs 1,000. The Jio Bharat phone can also be paired with a 4G connectivity plan that is priced at Rs 123.

Jio Bharat Feature Phone Price in India

The Jio Bharat phone price in India is set at Rs 999. Reliance's latest affordable Jio feature phone will go on sale in India starting July 7. However, the company has confirmed that only one million units will be provided in the first batch.

During phase one, the Jio Bharat phone will be distributed to a million users across 6,500 tehsils. As of the plan, it will cost Rs 123 and will offer unlimited calling, 14GB of 4G data, and access to Jio apps like JioCinema and Jio Saavn for 28 days.

However, an annual plan will also be available for Rs 1,234, which will offer 0.5 GB of data per day and unlimited calls. The Jio Bharat phone will be available across all Reliance and Jio stores across India, later this week.

The Jio Bharat phone features a 1.77-inch display with a T9-style keypad. Additionally, the phone also comes with a 0.3 MP VGA camera on the back along with an LED flash, although the phone excludes a front camera. The phone also

The telco giant will expand the Jio Bharat platform, first Karbon being the first brand to implement it. The Jio Bharat phone will also support features like FM radio, expandable storage, a headphone jack, and UPI payment through the JioPay app.
