Lava Bold 5G Launched in India With Dimensity 6300 and Curved AMOLED Display: Check Price, Specs, Availability

Lava has introduced a new entry-level 5G phone in India-the Lava Bold 5G. Set to go on sale from April 8 via Amazon, the phone is priced starting at ₹10,499, including launch offers.

It arrives shortly after the company's Shark series, but offers a few design and hardware differences that set it apart in the same budget space.

Curved Display, Standard Specs

The Bold 5G comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, offering FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is curved on the sides and features a punch-hole cutout in the center for the front camera.

The phone includes an in-display fingerprint scanner and is available in a Sapphire Blue finish. The build is IP64-rated for basic dust and water resistance and includes AGC glass for screen protection.

MediaTek Chipset and RAM Options

Inside, the phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, a recent entry-level 5G chip. Lava claims an AnTuTu score around 420,000, which puts it in a lower-midrange category.

It's available in two configurations-4GB or 6GB of RAM, both with 128GB of internal storage. Virtual RAM expansion of up to 8GB is also supported.

Android 14 with Update Commitments

The Bold 5G ships with Android 14, and Lava has confirmed it will receive the Android 15 upgrade, along with two years of security patches. The software experience is close to stock Android, without heavy customization.

Battery and Camera Setup

The phone includes a 5,000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. There's a 64MP Sony primary sensor on the back, a secondary lens (not detailed), and an LED flash. The front houses a 16MP selfie camera.
