Lava’s Bold Series Brings Two New Budget Phones to India with Clean Android and At-Home Service
Lava has launched a new pair of smartphones in India under a fresh product line called the Bold Series. The two devices-Bold N1 and Bold N1 Pro-are designed for the budget-conscious user, with starting prices of ₹5,999 and ₹6,699, respectively.
Both will be sold exclusively on Amazon India in early June.

A Focus on Clean Software and Everyday Usability
Both phones in the Bold Series are built around Android 14. The Bold N1 runs the Go edition, which is a lighter version of Android suited for lower-end hardware. It offers a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, paired with a dual-camera setup (13MP rear, 5MP front), a Unisoc octa-core processor, and a 5,000mAh battery.
There's 4GB of physical RAM, plus another 4GB in virtual memory, along with 64GB of internal storage. It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C charging, and basic IP54 protection for dust and water splashes. While these aren't headline features, they do tick the boxes for a practical day-to-day phone, especially at ₹5,999.
The N1 Pro offers a slightly different take. It swaps the larger display for a more compact 6.67-inch panel, upgrades the refresh rate to 120Hz, and brings in a 50MP triple camera setup at the back. The front camera also gets bumped to 8MP and includes a screen flash. The chip inside is the Unisoc T606, and storage is doubled to 128GB, expandable up to 256GB.
This model runs the full version of Android 14, comes in Titanium Gold or Stealth Black, and will receive one OS upgrade and two years of security updates. It's also the only one of the two with 18W fast charging, though the box still ships with a 10W charger.
Service, Not Just Specs
One of the more interesting aspects of the Bold Series launch is Lava's Free Service@Home program. Both phones are covered by this initiative, which means customers can request doorstep assistance across India, even in remote areas. This type of support is rarely seen in the entry-level segment and may appeal to first-time smartphone users or those living in towns with limited access to service centers.
Support is accessible through Lava's website, where users can schedule pickups or request technical help at home.
