Lava has introduced the Bold N2 in India as its latest entry-level smartphone, sitting squarely in the sub-₹8,000 category.

The Bold N2 doesn’t attempt to dramatically change the formula. Instead, Lava has refreshed the design and added IP64-rated protection against dust and light splashes. It’s a small upgrade on paper, but one that adds a bit of everyday durability in a segment where phones are often used without cases.

Pricing And Target Audience Are Clear

The Lava Bold N2 is priced at ₹7,499 and comes in a single configuration with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. That pricing makes its audience fairly obvious. This is a phone meant for first-time smartphone users or those moving up from a feature phone.

For existing Bold N1 users, there isn’t a strong reason to upgrade. But for someone buying their first Android phone, the Bold N2 offers a familiar and manageable entry point without pushing the budget too far.

Display And Performance Are Built For Everyday Use

On the front, the Bold N2 features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. There’s a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera, and the overall look stays in line with what you’d expect from an entry-level device.

The phone is powered by the Unisoc SC9863A chipset, a 4G-only processor designed for basic tasks. Calls, messaging, light browsing, and everyday apps should run without much trouble, as long as you’re not trying to multitask heavily or push demanding apps.

Buyers looking for more performance headroom or 5G connectivity may want to consider alternatives like the AI+ Nova 5G or the Tecno Spark Go, which offer a more future-ready setup in a similar price range.

Cameras, Battery, And Software

Camera hardware is straightforward. The Bold N2 includes a 13MP main camera on the back, paired with an LED flash and a secondary sensor, while the front houses a 5MP camera for selfies and video calls.

A 5,000mAh battery handles power duties, with support for 10W wired charging. It’s a combination that should comfortably last a full day for light users.

On the software side, the phone runs Android 15 (Go Edition) out of the box. Lava says the experience is free of bloatware and ads, which is one of the stronger selling points for users who want a clean, uncomplicated interface.

Availability And After-Sales Support

The Lava Bold N2 will be available via Amazon India starting February 27, in Indus Black and Siachen White colour options. Lava is also offering free doorstep servicing, which adds some reassurance for budget buyers focused on after-sales support.
