Lava is preparing to expand its lineup in India with a mix of new smartphones and feature phones. The upcoming devices are aimed at different segments, with a clear focus on affordability and everyday usability.

Lava To Launch New Smartphones Under ₹15,000: Check What’s Coming

The company says its next set of smartphones will sit in the under ₹15,000 segment, building on its existing Shark and Bold series.

New Smartphones Focus On Everyday Use

Among the upcoming launches is the Shark 2 5G, which will follow the earlier Shark series. It is positioned as a practical option for users looking to move to 5G without spending too much.

The phone is expected to feature a 6.75-inch HD+ display along with a large battery, with a focus on content consumption and day-to-day performance.

Lava is also introducing a new variant of the Bold N1 5G. This version will come with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, responding to demand for higher memory options in this segment.

The device is expected to include a 13MP AI dual rear camera setup and a large HD+ display, while keeping the overall experience focused on regular daily usage.

Feature Phones Still Play A Role

Alongside smartphones, Lava is also launching a new range of feature phones. The company highlights that demand for these devices remains steady, especially in tier 2, 3, and 4 markets.

These phones are still used for basic communication as well as backup or emergency devices, with buyers continuing to prioritize battery life and ease of use.

New Feature Phones And What They Offer

The upcoming feature phone lineup includes two models:

  • Lava Hero Shakti 2026 - This model comes with a 1.8-inch display, a 1000mAh battery, and Type-C charging. It is designed for basic communication and simple usage.
  • Lava A7 Torch 2026 - This device focuses on utility, featuring a 2.4-inch display, a 2575mAh battery, and a built-in torch with a dedicated side switch.

What This Means

With this lineup, Lava appears to be covering both ends of the market. On one side, it is targeting budget smartphone users looking for practical 5G devices. On the other hand, it continues to focus on feature phones, where demand still exists in non-metro regions.

The launches are expected to take place in April 2026, with more details likely to be shared closer to availability.
