Lava O2 Launched in India With 50MP AI Camera, 90Hz Display; To Go On Sale Starting March 27

Lava, the homegrown brand has launched the Lava O2 smartphone. The phone succeeds last year's Lava O1 and comes under the Rs 10,000 segment.

Despite being a budget phone, the Lava O2 offers a 90Hz display, fast charging, a 50MP AI camera, and much more. Let's check the pricing, features, and availability of the latest Lava phone in India.

Lava O2 Key Features

The Lava O2 features a 6.5-inch punch-hole display with an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by the Unisoc T616 octa-core processor which managed upwards of 280K+ points on the AnTuTu V10 benchmarking platform. The phone comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

The Lava O2 runs Android 13 OS instead of the latest version; however, Lava promises to provide two years of security updates for the new phone. The handset packs a 5,000 mAh battery unit with 18W fast charging support. For imaging, there's a 50MP dual rear camera setup and an 8MP selfie camera sensor.

Other aspects of the handset include a 2x fast side-mounted fingerprint scanner, face unlock, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack for connectivity. Lastly, the Lava O2 measures 165 x 76.1 x 8.7 mm in size and weighs 200 grams.

Lava O2 Price and First Sale in India

The Lava O2 price in India has been set at Rs 8,499; however, it can be purchased with a special launch price of Rs 7,999. The phone will go on sale starting March 27 at 12 PM (noon) via Amazon and the brand's official website.

The box of the Lava O2 will bundle a power adapter, USB cable, SIM Tray Ejector, and a phone case. Further, it is offered in three colour variants namely - Royal Gold, Majestic Purple, and Imperial Green.
