The Lava Play Ultra 5G is set to go on sale in India for the first time today. To recall, the Lava Play Ultra made its debut in India last week in India's sub-15K segment with a very compelling specifications on paper.

The Lava Play Ultra 5G features a MediaTek chipset, a super-smooth AMOLED display, a dual-camera setup, dual stereo speakers, water resistance, and near-stock Android software.

The Lava Play Ultra 5G goes on sale in India for the first time at 12 noon (IST) today through Amazon. The Lava Play Ultra is offered in two shades - Arctic Slate and Arctic Frost.

The Lava Play Ultra 5G price in India starts from Rs 14,999 for the base 6GB/128GB model, while the 8GB/128GB variant will set you back Rs 16,499. Lava is also offering an instant bank discount worth Rs 1,000 on the Play Ultra 5G.

Lava Play Ultra 5G Specifications

The Lava Play Ultra 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. Connectivity options for the Lava Play Ultra include Bluetooth version 5.2, OTG support, Wi-Fi version 6, and USB Type-C port. It also features stereo speakers for enhanced audio experience.

Running on Android 15, the Lava Play Ultra 5G promises two generations of Android updates and three years of security patches. Its display measures 6.67 inches with full-HD+ resolution, offering a refresh rate of 120Hz and peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits. The screen covers the DCI-P3 colour gamut completely.

The handset's dual rear camera system includes a main camera with a Sony IMX682 sensor at 64 megapixels and a secondary macro lens at 5 megapixels. For selfies, it features a 13-megapixel front camera. Photography modes such as Night Mode, HDR, Portrait, Beauty, Panorama, Slow Motion, Time Lapse, Filters, Pro Mode, AR Sticker, and Macro photography are supported.

The device's battery capacity stands at 5,000mAh with fast charging capabilities of up to 33W. According to the company's claims, it can be fully charged in approximately 83 minutes. On one charge cycle, users can expect up to about 45 hours of talk time or around 510 hours on standby. The Ultra 5G also features an IP64 rating for resistance to dust and water.
