Lava Shark 5G Renders Leaked Ahead of Launch: Check Expected Specifications

Lava is gearing up to expand its Shark lineup with the upcoming Lava Shark 5G, following the launch of the Shark 4G earlier this year.

While the 4G model debuted in March 2025, the 5G variant is expected to arrive with some notable changes, including a refreshed design, dual-camera setup, and of course, 5G connectivity.

Lava Shark 5G Renders Leaked Ahead of Launch: Check Expected Specs

New Design with 5G Branding

The Lava Shark 5G will be available in two color options: Blue and Gold-a familiar choice carried over from its 4G predecessor. However, the design gets a significant update with the inclusion of a 5G branding prominently displayed on the back, right alongside the Lava wordmark.

Leaked renders of the device, first shared by YTECHB, showcase a redesigned rear camera setup. Unlike the single 50 MP camera on the Shark 4G, the 5G version will sport a dual-camera configuration, headlined by a 13 MP main sensor. The camera island retains its square design but now features a circular LED flash array, adding a distinct look compared to the 4G model.

Hardware Specifications and Software

The Lava Shark 5G is expected to be powered by the Unisoc T765 SoC, staying consistent with Lava's use of Unisoc processors for the Shark series. The device is likely to feature 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, providing just enough power for everyday tasks while maintaining an affordable price point.

On the software front, the Shark 5G is set to run Android 15 out of the box.

Cost-Cutting Decisions?

One of the more puzzling changes in the Shark 5G is the downgrade of the main camera from 50 MP on the 4G version to 13 MP. This move could be indicative of cost-cutting measures aimed at keeping the price competitive despite the addition of 5G capabilities.

Expected Launch and Availability

While the exact launch date remains unconfirmed, the Lava Shark 5G is expected to debut in the coming months. Pricing details have also yet to be announced, but if Lava's history is any indication, it's likely to be one of the more affordable 5G options available in India.
