Lava Storm Affordable 5G Smartphone Launched in India: Check Price, Specs, Availability

Lava has officially announced a new budget smartphone in India. The Lava Storm 5G is the first phone to use the 'Storm' branding. The Lava Storm 5G sits between Lava's Blaze and Agni series.

Lava Storm Price, Offers in India

The Lava Storm 5G price in India is set at Rs 13,499 for the sole 8GB/128GB model. The Lava Storm is offered in two color variants - Gale Green and Thunder Black shades. However, Lava is offering a Rs 1,500 bank offer on the Storm 5G, bringing the effective price down to Rs 11,999.

The Lava Storm 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC paired with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The phone also comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage that is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. Additionally, up to 8GB of unused storage can be utilized as virtual RAM.

For optics, the Lava Storm 5G opts for a class-leading camera setup with a 50 MP primary sensor and an 8 MP ultrawide lens. Up front, the phone opts for a 16 MP selfie camera. The Lava Storm 5G sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Lava Storm packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The Lava Storm 5G runs stock Android 13 with no bloatware or ads. Lava has also confirmed that the Storm 5G will receive the Android 14 update and two years of regular security updates.

Connectivity options on the Lava Storm include 4G LTE, 5G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Dual SIM, GPS, and more. The handset also features a headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The Lava Storm 5G weighs 214 grams and measures 8.96 mm thick.
