Lava Storm Play and Storm Lite Launch Date in India Confirmed: Check Key Specifications
Indian smartphone brand Lava is back in the spotlight with two new devices in its Storm series. The company has confirmed the launch of the Lava Storm Play and Storm Lite, both scheduled to go official on June 13 at 12 PM IST.
Ahead of the launch, Amazon listings have gone live, offering a glimpse at the design and some early specs.

Launch Details and Availability
The Lava Storm Play and Storm Lite will be launched together and sold exclusively via Amazon India. The listings don’t mention pricing yet, but they do give a decent look at the hardware and design.
Lava Storm Play: Specs and Features
One of the key highlights of the Lava Storm Play is its use of the new MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chipset. This chip is an upgrade over the Dimensity 6080 used in last year’s Lava Storm 5G. The processor is octa-core, clocked at up to 2.6GHz, and paired with an IMG BXM-8-256 GPU for graphics.
Lava is also stepping up its game with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage on the Storm Play, which are faster memory and storage standards often seen on more expensive phones.
On the design front, the Storm Play comes with a boxy frame and curved corners, and the back features a visor-style camera layout. It houses dual rear cameras with a 50MP main sensor, alongside an LED flash.
Lava Storm Lite: Specs and Features
The Lava Storm Lite, while slightly more modest in specs, is still launching with a fresh chipset — the MediaTek Dimensity 6400. This marks the first appearance of this processor in India, making it a step forward from the Dimensity 6300 that powered earlier budget 5G models.
Design-wise, the Storm Lite carries a more traditional square-shaped camera module with dual cameras and a 50MP label etched next to the sensors. It has a side-mounted power button and volume rocker, just like the Storm Play.
Both phones seem to share a similar design language, but differ in finish — the Storm Play is shown in a blue colorway, while the Storm Lite has a beige/gold option.
