Lava Storm Play and Storm Lite Launched in India: Check Price, Specs, and Availability
Lava has announced two new smartphones—Storm Play and Storm Lite—aimed at buyers looking for capable 5G-ready devices under ₹10,000.

New Chips, Familiar Goals
The Storm Play is the more powerful of the two. It’s the first phone to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chip, paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage—components typically found in mid-range devices. It comes with 6GB RAM (plus 6GB virtual), 128GB of storage, a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 50MP rear camera using Sony’s IMX752 sensor. A 5000mAh battery and 18W charging complete the spec sheet. Price: ₹9,999.
Storm Lite, launching at ₹7,999, takes a slightly more modest route. It runs on the Dimensity 6400 chip—making it the first phone in the segment to do so—and features a similar display and camera setup. RAM is capped at 4GB (plus 4GB virtual), with either 64GB or 128GB of storage. Charging speed is lower at 15W, but the battery capacity remains the same.
Clean Software, Basic Hardware
Both phones boot clean, ad-free Android 15 with a promised Android update and two years of security patches. Lava is also offering its “Free Service@Home” program for after-sales support, available even in remote areas.
While the inclusion of a 120Hz display and IP64 rating adds some polish, the rest of the experience is firmly rooted in budget territory. Expect plastic builds, basic speakers, and no extras like ultrawide cameras or AMOLED panels.
Available Only on Amazon
Storm Play goes on sale June 19, while Storm Lite will be available starting June 24. Both will be sold exclusively through Amazon.
