Lava Virat Curve 5G Budget Smartphone Launched in India: Check Price, Specifications and Features

Lava has launched the Virat Curve 5G in India, bringing a curved AMOLED display, a large battery and a distinctive rear mini-screen to the sub-Rs 20,000 smartphone segment. Designed and developed in India, the new phone also features MediaTek's Dimensity 7100 chipset, Vayu AI and a premium vegan leather finish.

The Lava Virat Curve 5G is priced at Rs 23,999 for the sole 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. As part of the launch offer, buyers can get it for an effective Rs 19,999 with applicable bank offers.

The smartphone will go on sale through Flipkart from September 28 at 7 PM. It will be available in Heritage Indigo, Makrana Ivory and Ellora Slate colour options.

Lava is also offering a one-year replacement warranty on the handset and six months of warranty on accessories. The phone comes with Lava's Free Service @ Home after-sales service.

Lava Virat Curve 5G Specifications and Features

The phone features a 6.67-inch FHD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colour depth, 1.07 billion colours and up to 1,100 nits peak brightness. It also supports 1,920Hz PWM dimming.

A rear mini-screen adds another distinctive feature, allowing users to check notifications, battery and charging status, volume, clock and custom text or emojis without unlocking the phone.

Powering the device is the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7100 octa-core chipset, paired with 6GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB storage. Up to 6GB of virtual RAM is also supported. Lava claims an AnTuTu score of over 800,000.

The phone packs a 6,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, although a 33W charger is included in the box.

For photography, the Virat Curve 5G gets a 50MP Sony IMX752 primary camera with EIS and 2K video recording, alongside a 13MP front camera with screen flash.

The smartphone runs Android 16 without bloatware or advertisements and is promised two OS upgrades and three years of security updates. Other features include Vayu AI, an in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock, IR blaster, dual stereo speakers and dual-mic noise cancellation.

The phone also carries MIL-STD-810H certification and IP64 protection, along with IronGuard protection and a vegan leather finish. It weighs 184 grams.
