Lava Virat Curve India Launch Set for September 21: Key Specifications and Flipkart Availability Confirmed

Lava is preparing to unveil a new smartphone in its affordable Virat series. The Lava Virat Curve has officially been teased on Flipkart and will make its debut in India next week. It follows the already released Lava Virat V1, Virat V1 5G, and Virat V1 Pro 5G.

The listing on Flipkart has confirmed several key specifications of the Virat Curve, including a curved AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity chipset, large battery and a secondary rear mini display built into the camera module.

Lava Virat Curve Launch Date in India

The Lava Virat Curve will be officially launched in India at 12 PM on 21 September 2026. While there is no official information, we expect the Lava Virat Curve to fetch a sub-22K starting price in India.

The Virat Curve appears to be aimed at buyers who want a design-focused phone without moving into premium flagship pricing. Lava has also highlighted clean Android 16, long battery life and durability features, which could help the phone stand out in India's crowded mid-range 5G market.

Lava Virat Curve Specifications: What We Know So Far!

The smartphone will feature a 6.67-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1100 nits peak brightness, 1.07 billion colours and 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage. Lava is also claiming a 93% screen-to-body ratio.

Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset, paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The device will run clean Android 16 and include Lava's Vayu AI assistant. The company has promised two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates for the handset.

For cameras, the Lava Virat Curve will carry a 50MP Sony IMX752 primary rear sensor. The rear module also includes another camera, two circular rings and an LED flash. On the front, the phone has a centred punch-hole cutout for selfies and video calls.

The Virat Curve will pack a 6000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support. Lava has also confirmed dual speakers and dual microphones. For durability, the phone gets an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, along with MIL-STD-810H certification.

Mini Display and Rugged Design

The most distinctive feature is the small display inside the rear camera island. Lava says this mini screen can show the Lava logo, battery percentage, volume level, time, emojis, custom messages, app notifications and music controls. This gives the device a more lifestyle-oriented design than a standard mid-range phone.

In terms of finish, the device will use a vegan-leather rear panel and come in Heritage Indigo and Makrana Ivory colour options. The rectangular camera module may remind some users of recent Realme designs, though Lava's added mini display gives it a separate visual identity.
