Lava Yuva 2 Launched in India, Features 13-megapixel Dual AI Rear Camera

Smartphone manufacturer Lava has introduced a new budget-friendly phone called Lava Yuva 2, a few months after launching the Yuva 2 Pro. This device was launched at a price cheaper than the Pro model.

The Yuva 2 shares a similar appearance as the Pro model but has a few small differences. Both phones have a waterdrop-style notch that hosts the selfie camera. The back of the Yuva 2 now has two camera sensors instead of three. Let's take a closer look at the price point and other specifications of the phone.

Lava Yuva 2: Price and Colour Options

To keep the price affordable, Lava opted for a chipset by Unisoc instead of MediaTek.

​​The Yuva 2 is priced at Rs 6,999. It makes this phone cheaper by Rs. 1000 as compared to the Pro variant.

Colour options are the same, namely Glass Blue, Glass Lavender, and Glass Green.

The smartphone will be available for purchase across Lava's retail network.

Lava Yuva 2: Specifications

The smartphone features a 13-megapixel dual AI Rear camera. Additionally, it has a 5-megapixel front camera with screen flash.

It's powered by a chipset by Unisoc (Unisoc T606), as mentioned earlier.

The 5,000 mAh battery of the phone can be charged with a Type-C 10W charger that's provided with the phone.

The phone's 90Hz display boasts of Lava's new 'Sink' screen display. The company explains the Sink display provides a "high screen-to-body ratio" and "lower bezels."

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an anonymous auto-call recording feature, and dual microphones for Noise Cancellation.

Even though presently the device runs on Android 12, it promises to get an Android 13 update. The company has additionally promised a clean and bloatware-free Android experience.

The company also offers a "free service at home" service, in case of any issues that arise in the warranty period of the phone.

When it comes to storage, the Lava Yuva 2 has 3GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The phone supports 4G connectivity.
