Lava Yuva 2 Pro Open Sale Starts Today: Entry-Level Android Smartphone Gets ₹1,000 Introductory Discount

The Lava Yuva 2 Pro smartphone, launched a few weeks ago in the Indian market, will go on sale today, March 15. It succeeds the Lava Yuva Pro launched in October last year.

Lava Yuva 2 Pro Price, Launch Offers, and Availability In India

Lava launched the Lava Yuva 2 Pro last month in a single variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. This model is priced at ₹8,999.

As an introductory offer, Lava has offered a flat ₹1,000 discount during the smartphone’s first sale, bringing the price down to ₹7,999. The Lava Yuva 2 Pro will be available for purchase starting at 12:00 PM today, March 15, exclusively via Amazon India.

However, as per reports, a few units of the smartphone were available with retailers before the official launch.

The Lava Yuva 2 Pro smartphone has three color options: Glass White, Glass Green, and Glass Lavender. The phone's chassis and the back panel are made of plastic, so there’s absolutely no glass, as implied by the names.

The Lava Yuva 2 Pro has a 6.5-inch HD+ display. The screen has a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The manufacturer seems to have reused the same 720p screen on the Lava Yuva Pro for the Lava Yuva 2 Pro.

A MediaTek Helio G37 SoC powers the Lava Yuva 2 Pro. As mentioned above, the smartphone gets 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Since it’s a MediaTek SoC, buyers can get an additional 3GB of virtual RAM.

The Lava Yuva 2 Pro has a triple camera setup on the back, comprising a 13MP primary shooter, a VGA depth sensor, a VGA camera, and an LED Flash. There's a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies, video calls, and face unlock.

Despite being an entry-level Android smartphone, the smartphone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Lava Yuva 2 Pro has a biometric authentication feature as well.

The Lava Yuva 2 Pro has a 5000mAh battery that charges via a USB-C port. The smartphone has a microSD card slot and a 3.5mm audio jack. It weighs 204 grams and measures 164.5 × 76 × 9.0mm. Connectivity options of the device include Dual-SIM, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and GLONASS.
