We have not heard for LeEco for some time now when it comes to smartphone launches. The company has reportedly been facing financial issues leading to zero product launches. But, it seems that the company is working behind the scenes to develop new smartphones for the consumers.
While many LeEco devices have been leaked in several occasions in the past, now a new prototype smartphone from the company has just surfaced online. As far as speculations go this smartphone is tipped to be LeEco Le 2S.
The Le 2S Dual was leaked a long time back where the leaked image and listing found online revealed a dual camera setup on the rear, with two 13MP sensors. But again, the new image that we have come across might not be the same device but its other variant.
In any case, talking about the fresh leak, after analyzing it we can see that the smartphone features a metal-unibody design. On the back there is a single sensor camera setup with LED flash and the Fingerprint scanner is placed right below it. Antenna bands position seems to have been changed from the usual position and it now runs around the bottom and the top.
At the front, the phone comes with noticeable bezels the top and bottom while there are very thin bezels at the sides. The volume and power keys are on the right. On the top, there seems to be an IR blaster along with a secondary microphone. There is a camera and some kind of sensor at the front as well. The display seems to be vibrant and it looks like there is an added glass layer on top of the display.
However, that is all that we can make out about the device. It is interesting to know that the company is developing smartphones despite its issues. Meanwhile, we might see a delay in the launch of this phone too. No official word has been provided as to when LeEco will announce its devices. But it sure seems that the company has a couple of smartphones including today's model in its pipeline.
