Lenovo K8 Plus launched with dual cameras, 4,000mAh battery for Rs. 10,999
The Lenovo smartphone makes use of an Octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM.
As promised, Lenovo has finally taken the warps off the K8 Plus. This is the latest addition to Lenovo's K series.
"This is the most complete phone we have ever launched", says Anuj Kumar, Lenovo India, while commenting on the launch. Priced at just Rs. 10,999, this budget smartphone will go on sale from 12PM onwards exclusively on Flipkart. The key highlight of the Lenovo K8 Plus is its rear dual cameras. It is available in two different color options; Venom Black and Fine Gold.
Let's find out about the specs and features of the K8 Plus in detail.
Display and Design
The Lenovo K8 Plus comes with a 5.2 -inch. FHD IPS display. The display features 178-degree wide viewing angle. There is an oleophobic coating at the front and a protective Corning Gorilla Glass protection as well.
Coming to the design aspect, The device is made using aluminum 5000 series to make it strong and durable. It looks aesthetically pleasing as well.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood, the Lenovo smartphone makes use of an Octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 chipset based on the 16nm process for a smooth multitasking experience. The chipset is paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage capacity that can be expanded up to 128GB using the dedicated microSD card slot.
The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and stock Android for a smooth user experience. Lenovo promised that the K8 Plus will be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo.
Optics and Battery
As mentioned earlier, there is a dual rear camera setup on the Lenovo K8 Plus comprised of a 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP depth sensor.
The primary sensor captures all the small details, and brings out vibrant colors in the picture. The secondary sensor is capable of creating images with Bokeh effect. Both the sensors carry an aperture size of f/2.0.
The front camera is an 8MP sensor that has an aperture of f/2.0, Professional Mode, Beautify Mode, and an 84-degree wide angle lens. Also, there is a Party Flash that enables clicking great selfies even in low light conditions.
The battery capacity of the Lenovo K8 Plus is a 4,000mAh unit that comes with support for Turbo Charging as well. The battery is claimed to last two days on standby, 13 hours of web browsing, 20 hours of video playback, 100 hours of music playback with headphones.
Other aspects
On the entertainment segment, the Lenovo K8 Plus features DOLBY ATMOS and a dedicated Music Key for an immersive music listening key. Users even have the option to change the Music Key.
The phone also features the TheaterMax, which is a feature that gives a large screen-like viewing while gaming, watching videos, etc.
The Lenovo K8 Plus is a dual-SIM smartphone, so users can use two SIM cards and a microSD card.
Lenovo is also offering a bunch of launch offers to customers. Reliance Jio users will be upgraded to Jio Primer and they will get an additional 30GB of date split in 6 months.
Other than that, Lenovo also announced that, a special version of the Lenovo K8 Plus will be arriving in India during Diwali. What's more, the Lenovo K8 will be coming to retail stores across the country soon. It will feature a Helio P20 chipset and retain the same design as the K8 Plus.
