Lenovo K8 Plus launching in India tomorrow: Features dual cameras, stock Android

A teaser page on Flipkart has confirmed that the Lenovo K8 Plus will be launched in India on September 6, which is tomorrow. The Lenovo K8 Plus is the second device from the company's K8 series.

Just like the Lenovo K8 Note announced last month, the K8 Plus will also feature a rear dual camera setup and run a stock version of Android Nougat. What's more, the smartphone will have Google Assistant on board. While these features are confirmed, the Geekbench listing of the Lenovo K8 Plus has revealed its other specs as well. It is said to be powered by an Octa-core MediaTek MT6757CD processor.

Lenovo K8 Plus First Impressions

If you are wondering, the MediaTek MT6757CD SoC is better known as the Helio P25 processor. The chipset will be paired with 3GB of RAM. As for software, the smartphone will arrive pre-installed with Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.

Coming back to the Flipkart's teaser page, it also discloses the Lenovo K8 Plus will have TheaterMax for an immersive VR experience and a programmable music key. Other than that, the smartphone is expected to feature a rear mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top.

Currently, we don't have any information on the phone's camera configuration, RAM, display size and resolution, and the battery. As for pricing, the K8 Plus should be priced around Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 13,000. It could be launched in two memory variants as well.
