Lenovo Vibe P1 and P1m smartphones coming on Oct 21, Phab Plus tablet to launch on Oct 15


The Chinese company Lenovo is planning to launch the Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m smartphones in an event scheduled for October 21, in India.

The company has started sending out media invites for the India launch of the duo, which were announced at IFA 2015 back in September. The company's invite does not mention the name of the devices, however they have confirmed to us about the launch of the mid-range Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m smartphone at the said event.

Recent rumors suggested that the Lenovo Vibe P1 will be placed in the mid-range category, with a price tag of Rs 17,500, while the Vibe P1m will be comparatively more affordable at Rs 10,000.

Taking a look at their specifications, the Lenovo Vibe P1 features 5.5 inch Full HD Display, Snapdragon 615 chipset along with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, and MicroSD card slot. It sports a 13MP dual LED back and 5MP front cameras. The highlight of the phone is the Fingerprint sensor placed on the rectangular home button upfront.

The cheaper sibling, the Vibe P1m, on the other hand sports a 5 inch HD display with 1280x720 pixels resolution, Mediatek 6735P 1.0GHz quad core chipset with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, and an 8MP rear and 5MP front snappers. Both the smartphones run on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 with the company's own VibeUI on top.

At the same time, the company is also launching its Phab Plus tablet in India ion an event on October 15. Lenovo will be hosting the event in Delhi.
