LG announces 2018 version of K8 and K10 smartphones; specs and features
LG Mobiles today announced the 2018 edition of its K8 and K10 smartphones. Both the devices will be available in regions like Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, after an initial showcase at MWC 2018 next week. The K8 (2018) and K10 (2018) comes in three different color options; Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue, and Terra Gold.

Apparently LG has put more focus on the camera department of these phones. "With a host of advanced camera features such as high speed auto focus and noise reduction for better low-light photography, the new K Series continues to deliver exceptional products to customers at exceptional prices," reads the company's official blog post.
"LG's 2018 K Series range of smartphones is focused on delivering even more value to consumers looking for the right device that fits their lifestyle and needs," said Ha Jeung-uk, Senior Vice President and Business Unit Leader for LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
LG K10 (2018)
Well, the LG K10 (2018) has three variants; the regular K10, K10+ and K10α. However, the variants has the same set of specifications except for some slight changes in the RAM, storage and the camera part. All three models are powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz.
The smartphones are fitted with a 5.3-inch HD In-cell Touch display with the screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The K10 (2018) series runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS and is backed by a 3,000mAh inbuilt battery. Connectivity options onboard include 3G LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b, g, n), Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0 Type B, NFC. There are some other features like fingerprint scanner, FM radio, Flash Jump Shot and Music Flash.
The regular K10 comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The smartphone features a 13MP rear camera, either an 8MP or a 5MP selfie camera depending on the region.
The K10+ comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It has the same camera setup as the K10.
The K10α comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB native storage space. On the optics front, the smartphone is equipped with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
LG K8 (2018)
The LG K8 (2018) comes equipped with a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The chipset is coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. The smartphone sports a 5.0-inch HD On-cell Touch with 1,280×720 pixels resolution.
The K8 (2018) is backed by a 2,500mAh battery and it runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat. On the optics front, the smartphone features an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. The smartphone's connectivity suite offers options such as 3G LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b, g, n), Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0 Type B.

Other goodies in the package include FM Radio, Flash Jump Shot, Music Flash, Time Helper, Quick Capture, Quick Shutter.
Pricing
The South Korean tech giant is yet to reveal the pricing details of the K10 (2018) and K8 (2018) smartphones. Judging from the specs, the smartphones should fall in the budget segment.
