LG Aristo 2 with Snapdragon 425, Android Nougat surfaces online
The smartphone also features Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS and a 5-inch HD display.
LG had launched an entry-level smartphone called LG Aristo in January 2016. Fast forward one year, and the company now seems to be working on the phone's successor.
Dubbed as LG Aristo 2, the smartphone's retail packaging and the user manual have leaked online, revealing its design as well as the key specifications. The pictures surfaced via Slashleaks, which suggests that the smartphone will retain the 5-inch HD display with the screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Under the hood, the LG Aristo 2 appears to be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor running at 1.4GHz.
Notably, the phone's predecessor was launched with Snapdragon 425 SoC as well. However, in the RAM department, the LG Aristo 2 has got a slight upgrade over the LG Aristo. The former comes with 2GB of RAM, while the latter packs 1.5GB of RAM. Storage-wise, the smartphone offers 16GB of native storage capacity, which should be further expandable using a microSD card.
On the optics front, the device arrives pre-installed with Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS and it is backed up by a 2,410mAh battery. As yet, there is no information available on the Aristo 2's cameras and connectivity features. As far as the pricing and availability is concerned, the smartphone is expected to be released later this month with a low price tag.
Just to remind you, the LG Aristo was launched in the US in the beginning of last year. The smartphone features a textured back panel and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is fitted with a 5-inch HD display (1280×720 pixels).
As mentioned earlier, the LG Aristo is also driven by a quad-core Snapdragon 425 chipset from Qualcomm, which is coupled with 1.5GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the smartphone features 16GB of internal storage space, which can be further increased by inserting a microSD card.
Talking about the camera, the handset is equipped with a 13MP rear snapper with an LED flash and a 5MP selfie shooter at the front. When it comes to connectivity, the LG Aristo has features like 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Lastly, powering the device is a 2,410mAh battery.
