LG G7 ThinQ appears in official teasers, leaked render ahead of launch
LG G7 ThinQ will be unveiled on May 2 in New York.
LG G7 ThinQ will be launched in less than a week, and the anticipation for the smartphone is higher than ever. LG has now started teasing its next flagship in videos and posters. Besides this, serial leakster Evan Blass has shared a press render of the smartphone's Black color variant. Finally, a spy shot revealing the functionality of the notch has surfaced.
Starting with the official promotional video, LG uploaded it on YouTube earlier this week. In the brief video, members of the famous Korean boy band BTS talk about the LG G7 ThinQ. They excitedly acclaim the smartphones, adding the G7 ThinQ boasts 7 amazing features. Unfortunately, the video is in Korean so we can't make out anything clearly.
LG has outed another teaser image that contains the words, "Let the countdown begin" and the launch date of G7 ThinQ. Just like the video, the image doesn't give away any details about the smartphone.
Coming to the press render shared by Blass, it shows the G7 ThinQ in Black. The smartphone has a full-screen design with a notch at the top, vertically arranged dual rear cameras, G7 ThinQ branding, and a dedicated button for Google Assistant.
As stated, a spy shot has also been spotted online by Slashleaks. It shows the functionality of the expected "Second Screen" of G7 ThinQ. The leak further reveals that users will be able to switch between rounded or edgier corners around the display notch. The notch could be hidden by adding a virtual bezel as well.
In terms of specifications, the LG G7 ThinQ will reportedly come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. That said, we expect more memory variants of the smartphone.
The smartphone's dual rear camera setup is said to make use of two 16-megapixel sensors. One will be equipped with an RGB lens with an aperture size of f/1.6, another will be equipped with a 107-degree wide-angle lens. Like LG's V30S ThinQ, the camera on G7 ThinQ is also tipped to have AI capabilities.
Additionally, the G7 ThinQ will sport a 6.1-inch Quad HD+ FullVision display with the screen resolution of 3,120×1,440 pixels and aspect ratio of 19:5:9.
