LG G7 ThinQ visits Geekbench with Snapdragon 845, 4GB RAM
Despite featuring low-RAM capacity, the LG G7 ThinQ managed to perform well on Geekbench.
LG G7 ThinQ, LG's upcoming flagship is all set to launch on May 2 at an event in New York. With just a few days left for the launch, the smartphone has been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking site. The Geekbench database not only confirms some of the key specifications of the G7 ThinQ, but also gives us an idea about the device's performance.
The LG G7 ThinQ is listed on Geekbench with model number LGE LM-G710. According to the benchmark listing, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor that has the base frequency of 1.7GHz. The list shows the presence of 4GB RAM, which could be a mistake given almost all flagships these days come with at least 6GB of RAM.
The Geekbench listing further reveals the G7 ThinQ runs on Android Oreo operating system. As for the performance, the smartphone scored 2,312 points in the single-core test and 8,979 points in the multi-core test.
LG yesterday confirmed that the G7 ThinQ will come with a 6.1-inch QHD+ (1440×3120 pixels) LCD display with brightness of 1,000 nits and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will not only be taller than its predecessor, but it will also have a bottom bezel that's 50 percent slimmer.
Besides this, the handset is expected to sport an iPhone X-like notch, and dual rear cameras. However the notch will be optional, meaning users will be able to hide the notch by blacking out the pixels to its left and right.
If previous reports are to be believed, the LG G7 ThinQ will have come in more than one memory variants. There could be a 6GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage variant. The smartphone's dual rear camera setup is said to make use of two 16-megapixel sensors. One will be equipped with an RGB lens with an aperture size of f/1.6, another will be equipped with a 107-degree wide-angle lens.
Like LG's V30S ThinQ, the camera on G7 ThinQ will also have AI capabilities. The camera will be able to analyze subjects in the frame and recommend the optimal shooting mode among various categories. Additionally, LG is also said to introduce a feature called "SuperPixel" for capturing better images in low-light conditions.
