LG Nexus 5X vs Moto X Style: 10 Major Differences

With the LG Nexus 5X being launched, the debate on ‘Motorola or Nexus' has peaked to the next level. In fact it's rather confusing to choose between the two flagship handsets - LG Nexus 5X or Moto X Style. Priced almost similarly at Rs 30,000 (approx.) both the devices come with near same specs, however there are a subtle differences. Hence here are the top 10 major difference that will make your buying decision easier.
Unlike the LG Nexus 5X which comes with a Full HD (1920x1080) panel, the Moto X Style comes with a class leading 5.7 inch Quad HD (2560x1440) display with 512ppi. As compared to the 5.2 inch display on the LG Nexus 5X, the Moto X Style comes with a decidedly larger 5.7 inch panel, which is ideal for media consumption. One handed issue though may be a usage. At 11.1mm the Moto X Style is on the thicker side, as compared to the 7.99mm slim LG Nexus 5X. The round back does help while gripping the thicker Moto X Style, the LG Nexus 5X is apparently easier to carry around in the pocket. The lack of RAM is major issue that will plague the latest Nexus device from LG. It comes with just 2GB of RAM, which has now become a bare minimum for mid-range devise of present date. The presence of an extra GB of RAM helps to improve the multitasking performance of the Moto X Style. Unlike last year, this year Nexus devices - Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P - both come with a Fingerprint sensor. Google is in fact dubbing the duo's fingerprint sensor as Nexus Imprint. The Search Engine giant claims that the Fingerprint Sensor used in the two devices are better than most found in the market, which an unlocking time of <0.1 secs. The Nexus 5X come with a 12.3 MP (13MP approx.) camera in contrary to the 21MP found in the Moto X Style. Thanks to the added megapixels, the Moto X Style is ideal for printing large photos (banners, poster etc.) Both the camera can shoot 4K videos at 30fps. Selfie freak will enjoy clicking all day long with the 5MP camera on the Moto X Style. The USP of the Selfie Snapper lies in the fact that it comes with an LED Flash. It is also capable of shooting 1080p videos. LG Nexus on the other hand comes with the same 5MP snapper, minus the LED Flash. Can't wait to get a taste of the Marshmallow? If so don't think further beyond the LG Nexus 5X. The Moto X Style on the other hand runs on Android Lollipop 5.1.1. Motorola however announced that the Moto X Style too will be getting a flavor of Marshmallow in the coming months. Another USP of the LG Nexus 5X is the presence of a USB Type C port. Unlike the OnePlus 2 which uses a USB 2.0 Type C port, the Nexus 5X uses the latest USB 3.0 standard. The Moto X Style on the other hand comes with the old school micro USB 2.0 port.
