LG V30 and V30+ price finally revealed: It is on the expensive side
The pre-orders for the LG V30 smartphone will start from today, September 14 and will be open until September 20.
LG announced its flagship V30 and V30+ smartphones at IFA 2017. However, at the time of the launch, the company did not give away the details regarding the pricing of the new handsets.
But that has changed now. The company has finally revealed the price of the two devices for consumers in South Korea. As such LG V30 smartphone has been priced at KRW 949,300 (approximately Rs. 53,890) whereas the V30+ variant has been priced at KRW 998,800 (approximately Rs. 56,690).
The pre-orders for the LG V30 smartphone will start from today, September 14 and will be open until September 20 in South Korea. And the devices can be purchased starting September 21. The company is also throwing in some exciting offers with the sale of the two handsets. Consumers who have pre-ordered the phones will be able to purchase Google Daydream VR headset at a discounted price of KRW 1,000 (approximately Rs. 60), the company said in a media release.
As for the specifications, if you did miss out on the launch then just to recall, LG V30 features a 6-inch QHD+ (1440x2880 pixels) OLED FullVision display with a resolution of 538ppi and HDR10 support. The display also gets Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for added protection. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core SoC paired with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM. LG V30 comes with 64GB built-in storage, which is further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.
Talking about the cameras, LG V30 comes with a dual rear camera setup on the rear and it includes one 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.6 aperture and 71-degree wide-angle lens, and there is also a 13-megapixel sensor with a 120-degree wide-angle lens and f/1.9 aperture. The cameras are equipped with Crystal Clear Lens for correct color reproduction and clearer photographs. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel wide-angle (90-degrees) camera with an aperture of f/2.2.
The LG V30 is backed by a 3300mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and wireless charging. The smartphone runs UX 6.0+ interface based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat and the phone is also water as well as dust resistant (IP68), MIL-STD 810G certified.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C 2.0 (3.1 compatible). LG V30's dimensions are 151.7 x 75.4 x 7.3mm and it weighs 158g. The LG V30 comes in Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet colors.
