MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC announced; first wave of smartphones coming in Q3 2023

MediaTek has officially announced a new mid-range 5G chipset in its Dimensity series. The Dimensity 6100+ SoC delivers premium features including exceptional power efficiency, vivid displays, high frame rates, AI-powered camera technologies, leading low power consumption, and reliable Sub-6 5G connectivity at an accessible price point.

The MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC is the third chip in the Dimensity 6000 series, debuting after the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 and Dimensity 6080 chips. So here's everything you need to know about MediaTek's latest mid-range chipset.

MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ Specs, Features

The MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus SoC features an octa-core processor with two Arm Cortex-A76 big cores and six Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. The chip also features a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It also supports 10-bit displays with up to a 120Hz refresh rate.

MediaTek notes that the Dimensity 6100+ chipset offers notable enhancements, including support for AI-powered cameras, 10-bit displays, outstanding UX and GPU performance, and rich peripheral features. The chip also supports up to 108MP Non-ZSL camera support and up to 2K video at 30fps.

The chip also introduces advanced camera features like AI-bokeh for stunning portraits and selfies. It also features UltraSave 3.0+ technology that offers 20% reduced 5G power consumption compared to competitive solutions. Check out all the information about the new chip right here.

Why the Dimensity 6100+ SoC?
