MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Geekbench Scores Revealed, May Launch Before Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Elite 2
MediaTek is expected to unveil its next-generation flagship chipset, the Dimensity 9500, in September this year. The upcoming SoC is set to rival Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Elite 2, which is reportedly launching at the 2025 Snapdragon Summit scheduled between September 23 and 26.
Interestingly, MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 is expected to debut ahead of Qualcomm's event. Now, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed the Geekbench scores of the Dimensity 9500, shortly after sharing the benchmark results of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.

Enhanced Performance and Efficiency
The Dimensity 9500 has shown impressive Geekbench scores, as shared by tipster Digital Chat Station. It achieved over 3,900 in single-core and more than 11,000 in multi-core tests on Geekbench 6. These results mark a significant improvement from the Dimensity 9400's scores of over 2,900 and above 9,200, respectively.
Built on TSMC's N3P process, the Dimensity 9500 utilises a third-generation 3nm node. This design enhances power efficiency and boosts performance. The CPU architecture features an all-big-core layout with eight cores: one Travis core, three Alto cores, and four Gelas cores. The Travis and Alto cores are based on Arm's Cortex-X9 line, while Gelas cores derive from the new Arm A7 series.
The Dimensity 9500 also incorporates the Immortalis-Drage GPU. This GPU introduces architectural changes that enhance ray tracing performance while reducing power consumption. A previous report highlighted that the D9500 can achieve a score exceeding four million on AnTuTu benchmarks.
The tipster also revealed that the Dimensity 9500 will feature 16MB of L3 cache, 10MB of system-level cache, and 4-channel LPDDR5X RAM with speeds of up to 10,667Mbps and UFS 4.1 storage through a 4-lane interface.
Given the leak, MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 is expected to deliver similar levels of performance. According to the same tipster, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 features Qualcomm's second-generation Oryon CPU architecture and scores over 4,000 points in single-core and above 11,000 points in multi-core scores on Geekbench 6.
