Meizu E3 with 18:9 display, 6GB RAM launched

Meizu E3 has just been launched in China. Despite carrying a reasonable price tag, the new smartphone comes with quite impressive specifications. It has many highlights; the 18:9 display, dual cameras, and 6GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in color variants; Champagne Gold, Black, and Blue. The E3 will be available for purchase from March 31, and the pre-orders will start on March 26 in China.
In terms of specifications, the Meizu E3 is fitted with a 5.99-inch full-HD+ display with 1,080×2,160 pixels screen resolution and 402ppi pixel density. As mentioned, the display has the trending 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it makes use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon Snapdragon 636 processor with Adreno TM 509 GPU, which is coupled with 6GB of RAM.
The Meizu E3 has two storage variants; one with 64GB and another with 128GB. The storage space is further expandable via a microSD card.
In the camera department, the smartphone flaunts a dual-camera setup on its back. There is a primary 12MP Sony IMX362 sensor with f/1.9 aperture, Dual PD Full Pixel Duo Focus, and a 20MP secondary Sony IMX350 sensor with f.2/6 aperture, PDAF. The rear cameras can take pictures in Portrait Mode and up to 2.5x lossless zoom. At the front, it has an 8MP selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture.
Meizu's latest offering is backed by a 3,360mAh battery and it runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with Flyme OS 7 on top. The connectivity suite of the phone has features like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, AGPS, and GLONASS. Sensors onboard include accelerometer, compass, ambient light sensor, pressure sensor, gravity sensor, and proximity sensor. There is also a side-mounted Super mBack fingerprint scanner.
As far as the pricing aspect is concerned, the Meizu E3 64GB costs CNY 1,799 (approx. Rs. 18,500), whereas the 128GB variant of the phone is priced at 1,999 (roughly Rs. 20,600). Additionally, Meizu also launched a limited edition of the E3, Meizu E3 J-20. The limited edition will retail at CNY 2,499 (approx. Rs. 25,700).
