While the Chinese company has already announced that a launch event Meizu has now released 2 teasers regarding some of the features of the device. Quite surprisingly, the teaser seems to hint at an on-screen fingerprint recognition technology. And the company has made it quite obvious in the teaser.

However, this is quite contradicting as previous leaks and rumors had stated that the most awaited device will come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Some of the leaked photos have confirmed the same. So we are quite curious as to what the company is trying to portray.

Meanwhile, it could also be that the company wants to make us remember its trademark mBack home button that worked as a fingerprint scanner in older Meizu devices. If you also carefully observe the way the hand holds the device in the teaser you get the idea. But again, till date, there have been no rumors regarding Meizu and the use of an on-display fingerprint scanner. And just recently, at CES 2018, Vivo did showcase their first smartphone with the use of the in-display fingerprint technology from Synaptics.

In any case, we will get to know everything during the launch event.

As for the rumors and specs, Meizu M6S or mBlu S6 has appeared on TENAA and ANTUTU database. Both the listing reveals some key aspect of the smartphone. As such, Meizu's first handset for 2018 will come with an 18:9 screen and it will be a mid-range as its branding implies. The handset will likely feature a 5.7-inch 1,440x720 display and will be powered by Samsung's Exynos 7872 SoC coupled with a Mali-G71 CPU.

The smartphone will offer 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It will be backed by a 3000mA battery and come with support for 18W fast charging. It will also run on Android Nougat 7.0 with the company's custom FlyMe OS 6.0 on top.

The dual-SIM handset should also come with standard features like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS.
