Meizu Pro 7 with dual displays launched in India: Price, specs and features

Meizu announced the Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus smartphones in China back in July last year. The major USP of these smartphones is the presence of a secondary display at their rear, which is a super AMOLED panel. Previously, Meizu teased that the Pro 7 will be launched in India by the end of 2017 but the device was delayed due to logistics related issues. Now, the smartphone has been launched in the country.

After months of wait, the Meizu Pro 7 has been launched in India for Rs. 22,999 and is available exclusively on Amazon. The Meizu Pro 7 Plus has also been listed on the online retailer but the device is yet to be officially launched in the country and the company not revealed anything regarding its availability for now.

Talking about the specifications of the Meizu Pro 7, the smartphone is fitted with a 5.2-inch FHD Super AMOLED display at the front and a secondary 2-inch Super AMOLED display at the rear. The secondary screen is meant for displaying the notifications for messages, calls and weather update and capturing selfies using the rear camera.

Meizu Pro 7 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio P25 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space. While the smartphone was unveiled with 64GB and 128GB storage options, the Indian market has got the former. The device runs Android 7.0 Nougat topped the company's Flyme 6 OS.

For imaging, the smartphone from Meizu's stable boasts of a dual-camera setup at its rear. This camera module comprises of two 12MP Sony IMX386 sensors (RGB and monochrome sensors) along with LED flash. There is a 16MP selfie camera as well on board. The Meizu Pro 7 gets the power from a 3000mAh battery operating under its hood. This battery comes with the mCharge 3.0 fast charging feature as well.

The smartphone also comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button at the front. The connectivity aspects on board are 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Wi-Fi and a micro USB 2.0 port. As mentioned above, the Meizu Pro 7 is priced at Rs. 22,999. The smartphone is exclusive to Amazon India in limited stocks and will be available only in the Black color option.
