Meizu phones are all set to get an software upgrade. Like several other Smartphone manufacturers Meizu too has its Flyme OS on top of Android. The Flyme 5 is an iteration of the Flyme skin which is been made for Meizu Pro 5 and MX5. However, Meizu will release the Flyme 5 for its other two phones - the Meizu MX4 Pro and the Meizu MX4.
A beta version of the Flyme 5 will be available tomorrow for the MX4 and the MX4 Pro as well as Meizu M1 Note. It must be noted that the beta version of the Flyme 5 will not be an OTA upgrade and users of Meizu will have to manually download the software and intall them.
The final built of the Fyme 5 for the three devices - namely the MX4 , MX4 Pro and the M1 Note wll go on air sometime before the Chinese New year in 2016. The Chinese New year falls on February 8th of the Gregorian calendar. There is no word from Meizu if the Flyme 5 will make its way to other handsets fo Meizu. The Flyme 5 update does not bring with it an upgrade to the Android, it's just that the UI and the skins keep changing to make for better appearance.
