Meizu sends frying pans and DSLR-lens mug as Meizu E3 invites

Meizu has a reputation of sending interesting or rather unusual invites for its launch events. It seems the company likes doing it and besides it wants to create a deep impression on the invitees. Previously the Chinese handset maker had sent old Nokia phones and shoes which was a huge surprise for the people who received the invite. And now the company is at it again.

Meizu has now started sending out media invites for the launch of Meizu E3 and the company has managed to do something outlandish. Well, the invitation features a frying pan and a mug that looks like a DSLR-camera lens. However, Meizu might have a good reason to paste invites into a frying pan and a DSLR-lens like mug.

Talking about the frying pan, the details of the launch event are written on it and it confirms the device that is going to be launched dubbed as E3 G. Interestingly, many reports have stated that the G might stand for gaming. If it is so then the company might unveil a special gaming variant of Meizu E3.

Talking about the other invite the body of the mug reveals the launch details of the device but here it has been named as "E3 P". Now the P here might stand for photography. With this, we can assume that Meizu might be launching a camera-centric model of the phone as well. However, there is also a possibility of the company launching a single device that comes with both the features.

Meanwhile, Meizu E3 has been doing rounds in the rumor mill and has been leaked on several occasions. Just a few days back, alleged live images of the smartphone were leaked on the Chinese social networking website, Weibo. Thus we got to see how the device looked and its design.

As per the images, the smartphone featured a vertical dual camera setup on the top-left corner of the rear of the device. Up front, Meizu E3 was shown with a bezel-less display probably with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The top bezel housed the selfie camera, an earpiece, and a sensor.

Another leaked photo showed the Meizu E3 with a protective case. Further, the bottom edge of the phone came with a single speaker, a USB-C port, a microphone and a 3.5mm audio jack. Coming to the sides, on the left, the volume buttons and SIM card tray slot were placed while on the right side there was a fingerprint sensor and the power button.
