Just like other smartphones under the Bharat series, the Bharat 5 Plus also comes with entry-level specs and features.
From the listing on Micromax's official website, it looks like the smartphone will come with a 5.2-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels and brightness of 400nits. The display is also covered by a 2.5D curved glass on top for added protection.
Under the hood, the Bharat 5 Plus is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor running at 1.3GHz. The name of the chipset, however, is not specified on the list. As far as the memory aspect is concerned, the smartphone carries 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via micro SD card slot.
Talking about the cameras, the smartphone appears to be equipped with an 8MP rear-facing primary camera. The rear camera comes loaded with various modes like Panorama, Time Lapse, Watermark, Beauty Mode and Bokeh effect. As for the selfie camera, the Bharat 5 Plus features a 5MP shooter with 83.3-degree wide-angle lens. The front camera also has portrait mode, time lapse, watermark and beauty mode.
As mentioned earlier in the article, the new smartphone from Micromax packs a 5,000mAh battery. As per the listing, the battery can deliver a standby time of 21 days and it can even be used as a power bank to charge other electronic devices.
The Micromax Bharat 5 Plus is listed to be bundled with connectivity features such as 4G VoLTE, OTG support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and micro USB port. Unfortunately, it's unclear which Android version will the smartphone run on.

We expect Micromax to release a statement soon regarding the launch of this smartphone. Meanwhile, the company is also expected to launch a Android Go smartphone later this month.
