Micromax Canvas Amaze launched for Rs 7,999 - Key specifications and features
Earlier this month, a new Micromax smartphone named the Canvas Amaze was spotted on the company's website. The phone has now gone on sale for Rs 7,999 on online retail stores. Micromax has recently been on a launching spree and already unveiled a handful of 4G LTE devices. However, the Canvas Amaze is a 3G smartphone with support for dual SIMs. Here we give you the details of its key specifications and features.
The Micromax Canvas Amaze features a 5-inch HD IPS display with 720X1280 pixels resolution. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor clocked at 1.3GHz clubbed with 2GB of RAM. The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Micromax's customized features on top.

Speaking of camera, the Micromax Canvas Amaze sports a 13-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Other features in the phone include of an 8GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded up to 32GB on microSD card, and a 2000mAh battery, which can run for up to 260 hours on standby and give up to 7 hours of talk time. The connectivity options in the phone include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS/A-GPS.
A few of the company's recent launches include the Canvas Mega, and Canvas Blaze 4G+ smartphones. The Canvas Mega has been priced for Rs. 8,099, whereas the Blaze 4G+ has not got a price as yet.
In terms of competition, the Canvas Mega will be up against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, which is priced for Rs 6,999.
