Micromax has been teasing the launch of a bezel-less smartphone dubbed Canvas Infinity. Now, this smartphone has been announced at an affordable price tag of Rs. 9,999.

The Micromax Canvas Infinity has been launched initially as an Amazon exclusive and the registrations for the smartphone start from now. The sale will debut on September 1 in the country. The Micromax smartphone comes with a high-end camera and new and innovative features besides the bezel-less design and 18:9 aspect ratio display.

Design

The Micromax smartphone features an all-metal body except for the use of plastic at the top and bottom edges. There is a brushed metal finish to accommodate the antenna lines. Also, there is a rear-facing fingerprint sensor on board.

Display

The Micromax Canvas Infinity adorns a 5.7-inch IPS display similar to the Infinity Display seen on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The screen has an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. The handset's display has extremely narrow bezels around it. The. The highlight of the Canvas Infinity is that the device has a smaller footprint than smartphones that have a smaller 5.5-inch display, thanks to the Infinity Display panel. The camera on the Micromax Canvas Infinity is another major highlight of the smartphone. The company has incorporated a 16MP front camera with real time bokeh effect, auto scene detection and 18:9 camera. The auto scene detection is claimed to enable easy toggling between night mode, portrait mode and HDR modes. At the rear, there is a 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The Micromax Canvas Infinity is equipped with a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB of default memory capacity. The storage can be further expanded up to 256GB using the dedicated microSD card slot. There are connectivity features such as 4G VoLTE, USB OTG, dedicated dual SIM card slots, and other standard ones. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box. The device gets the power from a 2900mAh battery operating under its hood.
