Spotted: Micromax Canvas Juice 4 with 3,000mAh Battery!
Micromax Canvas Juice 4, is the latest addition to the Canvas Juice series of smartphone from the company. Targeted at power users the Canvas Juice 4 packs a large 3000mAh battery.
For those unaware the Micromax Canvas Juice 4 succeeds the Canvas Juice 3 and Canvas Juice 3+ smartphone which were launched last year. Interestingly though, the all new smartphone packs a smaller batter as compared to the 4000mAh one found in its predecessor.
With 3000mAh batteries going mainstream, it becoming increasing difficult to refer to the Canvas Juice 4 as a battery centric smartphone. On the contrast, the battery centric device from the like of Gionee comes with a humongous 6000mAh cell. In fact Xiaomi includes a large 4000mAh battery in a budget device like the Redmi 3.
Coming to the specs, the Micromax Canvas Juice packs a 5 inch FWCGA (854x480p) IPS display upfront and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core Spreadtrum SoC (S7731). This is clubbed with 1GB RAM and 8GB of on-board storage. Micromax has also provided room for memory expansion via MicroSD card slot.
In terms of cameras the Micromax Canvas Juice 4 comes with a 5MP rear camera with an LED Flash and a 2MP front facing selfie snapper. Rest of the specifications include the common set of connectivity features including Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPRS/EDGE support. Surprisingly though the Canvas Juice 4 doesn't support 4G LTE connectivity. This is quite strange considering the fact that the home grown brand had planned to revamp its existing smartphone portfolio with 4G compatible device in 2016.
While the Micromax Canvas Juice 4 isn't official yet, the website listing does indicate that it will be launched rather soon. The pricing of the smartphone is also unknown as of now. Expect it to be priced under Rs 10,000.
