Microsoft Lumia 950XL vs Moto X Style vs Nexus 6P: 10 Major Differences
Microsoft launched their most powerful Windows smartphone ever, dubbed the Lumia 950 XL at the event in New York City as expected.
Packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 on the inside along with a 3GB of RAM the Lumia 950 XL falls in head on competition with Android flagship offerings of present date. However the Nexus 6P and Moto X Style are unmistakably similar to the Lumia 950 XL. Hence, Gizbot decided to pit the three flagships against each other to find out which is the most powerful of the lot.
Moto X Style comes with the best Screen to Body Ratio
All three phones are kings in terms of display. The trio sports a 5.7 inch Quad HD (2560x1440) AMOLED display on the front. Despite sporting similar sized display the Moto X Style feature the best screen is to body ratio at 74.9%.
Old school Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the Moto X Style
Unlike the Huawei made Nexus 6P or the newly launched Microsoft 950XL, which comes with latest Gorilla Glass 4 on the top, the Moto X Style still sports the last gen of protection in the form of Gorilla Glass 3. The Nexus 6P also comes with an Oleophobic coating to protect the display from fingerprints.
Water and Dust Proof IP67 certification for the Moto X Style
The USP of the Moto X Style lies in the IP52 certification, which makes the devices waterproof and dust proof. In fact the X Style can survive for 30 minutes in a 1m deep water.
Nexus 6P comes with an all metal build
While the Lumia 950XL and the Moto X Style comes with polycarbonate built, the Nexus 6P features an all metal design. This is in accordance to the design language followed by Huawei in most of their flagship devices.
Triple LED Flash along with a Carl Zeiss 20MP lens
All three devices come with a 20MP camera, however the USP of the Lumia 950XL lies in the fact that it comes with a Carl Zeiss optical lens and a Triple LED flash. It also sports a 5th gen Optical Image Stabilization.
3450mAh battery of the Nexus 6P is the largest
The Huawei made Nexus 6P features a 3450mAh battery in contrast to the 3000mAh and 3300mAh in the Moto X Style and Microsoft Lumia 950XL respectively.
Microsoft 950XL comes with MicroSD expansion upto 200GB
While the Nexus 6P lacks a MicroSD card slot, the Lumia 950XL comes with a memory expansion slot with support for even a 200GB card. The Moto X Style on the other hand features only a 128GB of expansion slot. The Nexus 6P however makes up for the lack of SD card by providing a 128GB internal storage variant of the device.
Presence of USB Type C port in Nexus 6P and Lumia 950XL
The Moto X Style misses out on the latest and the greatest USB Type C port, while both the Nexus and the Lumia don it.
Nexus 6P sports an 8MP Selfie Snapper
Selfie cum Megapixel freak will love the Nexus as it comes with an 8MP camera in contrast to the 5MP units found in the 950XL and Moto X Style.
Absence of Fingerprint Sensor on the Moto X Style and Lumia 950XL
The Fingerprint sensor is highly missed in the Lumia 950XL and the Moto X Style. The Nexus 6P however comes with it on the back. Google is in fact dubbing the sensor as Nexus Imprint!
