Moto G05 Launching in India on January 7; Full Specifications and Availability Confirmed
Motorola is all set to launch a budget-centric phone dubbed Moto G05 in India. The smartphone was originally launched last month, featuring a MediaTek Helio G81 chip and a 90Hz display.
Now, the brand confirms the India launch of the Moto G05 will take place on January 7 at 12PM IST. Following the launch, the smartphone will be available for purchase via Flipkart, where a dedicated microsite has gone live.

Moto G05 Full Specifications
The Flipkart microsite confirms the smartphone will have a 6.67-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 1000nits brightness. The display will feature Gorilla Glass 3 protection and water touch technology. It will also come with an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance. The phone is confirmed to measure 8.10mm in thickness and weigh 178.8 grams.
The Moto G05 will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 processor paired with 4GB of onboard RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It will pack a 5200mAh battery with 18W fast charging and offer a total talk time of 39 hours, music playback of 70 hours, and 19 hours of video playback.
Moreover, the Moto G05 is said to be the segment's first phone to ship with Android 15 OS. It is also confirmed to offer two years of security updates. The Moto G05 will have a premium vegan leather design and a 50MP rear quad-pixel camera which will offer features like Portrait mode and Auto Night Vision. Upfront, the phone will opt for an 8MP selfie camera placed into a punch-hole cutout. The handset will feature a Dual Dolby Atmos Stereo Speaker.
There is no clue regarding the pricing of the Moto G05. Given the specs, we expect it could be priced for less than Rs 10,000. However, it's better to take this with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for the official announcement.
