Motorola announced the launch date on Chinese social media platform Weibo. The poster does not reveal the smartphone. However, the Motorola smartphone has also appeared in a TENAA (Telecommunications Equipment Certification Center China MIIT) listing. The design of the device matches the recently leaked renders of the Moto G54 5G.

The Moto G54 5G images in the TENAA listing confirm the smartphone will feature a dual rear camera setup accompanied by an LED flash. The volume keys and the power button are located on the right side of the smartphone.
