Moto G56 5G Leak Hints at Rugged Design, Big Battery, and Budget-Friendly Specs
Motorola might be quietly working on its next budget 5G phone—the Moto G56—and while the company hasn’t said a word officially, trusted tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) has spilled the beans with a full spec sheet and design renders.
And if the leak is accurate, the G56 could be a meaningful update for anyone still hanging on to an older Moto G-series device.

Display and Design Upgrades
The G56 is expected to succeed the Moto G55 5G with upgrades in display, performance, and durability. It could sport a 6.72-inch LCD screen with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection—decent upgrades if you're looking for smoother scrolling and better outdoor readability.
New MediaTek Chip and Android 15
Under the hood, it's tipped to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7060, a new 6nm chip that slightly edges out the G55’s processor. You’ll likely get 4GB or 8GB of RAM paired with 128GB or 256GB storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD. Android 15-based Hello UI is expected out of the box, which would make this one of the first budget phones to ship with Google’s upcoming OS.
Sony Cameras and Dolby Audio
The camera setup includes a 50MP Sony main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP selfie camera—a solid combo if you’re not chasing flagship photo quality but still want decent shots for social media. There’s also talk of stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, which should make binge-watching or casual gaming a bit more immersive.
Built Tough with IP Ratings
What really stands out, though, is the durability. The G56 is expected to come with IP68/IP69 ratings and MIL-STD-810H compliance, which means it could survive dust, water, and even some rough handling. That’s rare in the budget category.
Battery, Color Options, and Expected Price
Powering everything is a 5,200mAh battery with 33W fast charging, and the phone is rumored to weigh around 200 grams. Color options might include Pantone-named finishes like Black Oyster and Dazzling Blue, which sounds more stylish than your average budget device.
The price? Around €250 (~₹24,000) for the top variant. No word yet on an India launch, though Motorola’s recent G-series rollouts haven’t always made it here.
