Moto G6, E5, X5 and Z3 series details are out; no Moto C/C Plus this year
Motorola to skip the Moto C and C Plus this year.
Since the past few days, we have been coming across several leaked information about the Moto G6 series of smartphones. We have got to know that Lenovo-owned Motorola will announce the Moto E5, Moto G6, Moto Z3 and Moto X5 series of smartphones sometime this year. Now, we have further information regarding the plans of the company for this year.

A well-known tipster has now revealed some details about the upcoming Motorola smartphones those will be launched this year. According to the tipster, it looks like the company might not unveil the Moto C and C Plus smartphones in 2018. Also, the Moto E series devices are said to be announced with better specs and a capacious battery.
The same tipster has also cited the FCC documentation of the Moto G6 smartphones to reveal the fingerprint sensor positions of these devices. Let's take a look at the details revealed by the tipster regarding the upcoming Motorola smartphones.
Front-facing Touch ID locations
The Moto G6 series is said to comprise of three models - Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play. Previous leaks such as the FCC and HTML5 benchmark test have tipped that these smartphones will embrace the full-screen design trend. Also, the leaked renders showed the slim bezels of these smartphones making us believe that the aspect ratio of the display will be 18:9. Despite the full-screen design, the Twitter user Andri Yatim has claimed that the Touch ID sensors will be positioned at the front on the Moto G6 Play and Moto G6 Plus while it will be at the rear on the Moto G6.
No Moto C series this year
Andri Yatim also tweeted that the company will stop with the launch of the Moto E5 series, Moto G6 series, Moto X5 series and Moto Z3 series of smartphones this year. It was claimed that Motorola might not unveil the successors to the Moto C and Moto C Plus smartphones this year.

Rumored specs
@HeyAndri also revealed that the Moto E5 series of smartphones will arrive with a more capacious battery and that the Moto E5 Play will be the replacement to the Moto C series. The Moto G6 smartphones are said to be launched with two-year old flagship specifications. When it comes to the Moto X5, it is said to be a high-end smartphone with a notch at the top of the display as seen on the iPhone X.
The Moto Z3 series is said to comprise of the Moto Z3 Play and Moto Z3 Force. These models are said to be launched with futuristic technology with the support for the Moto Mods accessories and flagship specifications. There are claims that there will be a third Moto Z3 model with a sSnapdragon 845 SoC.
