Moto G6 Plus prototype unit first live pictures leaked online

Well, we might as well say that Motorola's entire 2018 smartphone lineup has been leaked and it comes at a time when we have just entered the first month of the new year. Yesterday, a set of renders and what looked like promotional images of five devices namely Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus Moto G6 Play, Moto X5 and Moto Z3 Play surfaced online, further detailing some of the key specs and features of the smartphones.

And today, while we were expecting more leaks, first live pictures of Moto G5 Plus have popped up online. A pair of Moto G6 Plus pre-production unit images have just appeared on Reddit and as far as the validation or authenticity goes the device does look very similar to the one depicted in the marketing renders leaked earlier. Now we are assuming that these images could truly be showing off Moto G6 Plus. However, we are not jumping to giving our final conclusion as yet.

Some reports have stated that this could be a prototype unit, and there is a high possibility that Motorola could still make some design changes with the final product. That being said the overall aspect of the phone should likely remain the same without any new major changes.

In any case, we should be hearing and seeing more rumors and leaks in the coming days. There is a possibility that Motorola could announce its new smartphones at the upcoming MWC 2018 event that is happening in Barcelona. MWC is scheduled to start from February 26 and will go until March 1.

Talking about the leaked features and specifications, Moto G6 Plus is said to be the most advanced smartphone in the G6 lineup. As such the smartphone is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor and will most probably come in different variants including 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of onboard storage models.

In addition, the smartphone is said to feature a 5.93-inch display with the screen resolution of 2160×1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. As for the cameras, the Moto G6 Plus will likely bring a dual camera setup comprising of 12MP+5MP rear cameras. Up front, the handset is said to sport a 16MP sensor. Further, the smartphone will likely be backed by a 3200mAh battery.

As for the pricing, Moto G6 Plus is expected to be priced around $330 (roughly Rs. 21,115).
