Moto Razr 40, Razr 40 Ultra India Launch Date Set for July 3

Motorola is gearing up to launch the Razr 40 series in India. The company has confirmed the launch date of its upcoming foldable phones which launched earlier this year in Europe and China. The Razr 40 series includes two offerings. This includes the vanilla Moto Razr 40, and a new more powerful Razr 40 Ultra.

The Lenovo-owned brand has confirmed both variants will be launching in India in July. The smartphones will be sold on Amazon India after its launch on July 3. Motorola has also confirmed the specifications and features of the smartphones are the same as the European and Chinese variants.

Moto Razr 40, Razr 40 Ultra: Specifications and Features Confirmed

Both Moto Razr 40 and the Razr 40 Ultra are flip phones designed to take on the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Oppo Find N2 in India. The base Razr 40 features a 6.9-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate. The Razr 40 Ultra, on the other hand has an p-OLED display of the same size, but has a 165Hz refresh rate along with HDR10+ support with 1400 nits peak brightness.

The Razr 40 Ultra has a larger cover display measuring 3.6-inch, which is also a p-OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits peak brightness.The Razr 40 has a 1.5-inch cover display.

Under the hood, the Razr 40 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, while the Razr 40 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. Both smartphones are going to be offered in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants with 128GB and 256GB storage. The phones also come with 512GB storage in China, but it's not confirmed if that variant will launch in India.

The Razr 40 Ultra comes with a 3800mAh battery with 33W fast charging and 5W wireless charging, while the Razr 40 comes with a larger 4200mAh battery with 30W fast charging and 8W wireless charging.

The Razr 40 Ultra features a dual camera stack with a 12MP primary camera and a 13MP ultrawide camera. On the front is a 32MP shooter. The Razr 40 comes with a 64MP primary camera and a 13MP ultrawide camera, along with a 32MP front camera.

The Razr 40 Ultra is additionally IP52 rated for water and dust resistance. Both phones come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
